19th Century Cupboard with old blue paint is offered at Hillsdale Barn Antiques for $2,250

Some of you have heard this story before, but repetition reinforces something in your mind. So for those of you who have already heard the story, it’s a good idea to read it again.

A participant on the Antique Road Show brought a highboy dresser to be appraised. He told the appraiser that when he purchased it, it had been covered in horrible red paint that covered the beautiful grain of the wood, so he had it restored. He gave the highest praises to the restorer.

The Antique Road Show appraiser asked him, “Which would you like first, the good news or the bad news? The man chose the good news first, and that good news was that it was a wonderful piece with no repairs or added pieces. The appraiser told him it was worth about $35,000. “But the bad news is that you washed $100,000 of red paint off of it.”

This story brings me to what I want to discuss today; antique painted items, like boxes, trunks, chests, tables and more. If these painted items are genuine, they can bring big bucks.

How do you know painted antique items are genuine?

For starters, their paint shouldn’t look like it was painted yesterday. Something that’s over a hundred years old should look its age, and have a very mellow patina.

Next, I’ll often ask the person who owns the piece if the items has any history. I’ve often been told the whole story of where it came from and who owned it. Don’t let this be your only means for evaluating an item though, because sometimes the story doesn’t match the piece you’re looking at. When you go to antique shows and antique shops, you can examine the real thing and this will prepare you for when that special piece is offered to you.

As you research the patterns that were used during certain time periods on painted items, they’ll become familiar to you. That way, when you see them, bingo! You might have just rung the cash register, and we aren’t talking small bucks here, but very possibly some extremely green money.

A recent example of what I’m talking about showed up at Cowan’s Auction last March 15th. There were several nice painted pieces in the catalog, and one was a nice 19th century Bentwood box that had an estimate of $500 to $800. Another was a box painted with flowers estimated at $700 to $1000. Next came the Pennsylvania Dower chest estimated at $6000 to $9000, and what a beauty it was.

Be sure you examine all painted items, large or small, because if they are from the 18th or 19th century they have true value. While some dealers will just pass them by as being new, with your keen eye, you will pluck them right out of a pile of trash.

Tired of the Stock Market Roller Coaster? Fine Art & Antiques Market is Still Sizzling

Daryle Lambert’s 31 Club Blog

Learning to Build Personal Wealth Trading in Antiques, Fine Art, & Collectibles

One day the stock market is up 150 points, the next it’s down over 200. Over and over again. Are you beginning to grow weary of this roller coaster market? You might even be thinking about exiting the market, where do you go?

The 31 Club’s answer to the roller coaster stock market is to invest some of your money in Antiques, Fine Art and Collectibles. When things are the bleakest for other markets, the Antique, Fine Art and Collectible markets shine.

In this troubled market, it still amazes me when people are able to buy items for a small amount of money and then resell them immediately for many, many times their purchase price. I encourage all who will listen to me to maximize their efforts by investing their money in inventory that can be turned quickly today. I believe we have reached the optimum time to accelerate our efforts to follow the guidelines set out in my book 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques and Collectibles. Regardless of what other markets are doing, we can still profit quite handsomely using the tangible items being bought and sold in a sizzling high end antique, fine art and collectible market like we have today, then following the strategy to grow funds presented in my book. There isn’t a better time to be trading in items that hold their value and appreciate in all types of economic situations.

“Make Hay While the Sun is Shining” is an old saying I take to heart. And, the auctions, estate sales and garage sale markets are in full bloom now, so are you spending the proper amount of time visiting them to fully take advantage of these conditions?

This is the time to encourage people you know to purchase quality Antiques and Paintings and offer your expertise in the field to assure them of investing properly. I was able to assist one of our members in purchasing several pieces of Lotton Glass a few months ago, and today, she could double her money if she wished to sell them. This is at a time when the stock market has lost 4000 points.

I simply love this business. One reason is because it helps insure us against financial setbacks. You carry home insurance, car insurance and life insurance but what kind of insurance can we have in the business? Yes, there is insurance against breakage or other forms of damage to our items, but that doesn’t insure that what we buy will make us profit. But there is a form of insurance we control that costs us nothing: The price you pay for your inventory. When there is a cloud of fear overhanging the financial condition of most people, you just offer less for the items you wish to purchase. Yes, the percentage of items that you buy may shrink, but you will have received insurance at the lower cost to assure your profitability on the items you sell.

An example of this might be that painting that you would have offered $500 for 6 months ago. Today your offer might be $350. Or that Tiffany vase that would’ve caught your attention at a price of $1000, might cause you to want to make that offer today at only $800. This is insurance that you control, and you receive it at no cost. You can’t beat that.

My time in the Smoky Mountains is quickly coming to an end, but I have to admit, I miss all your phone calls and emails. I want to get back to work so I can enjoy all those stories of your successes. I truly do feel that we are forming a community that has the core values I wrote about two days ago: God, Family and Country.

Antiques & Fine Art – The New Market During the Financial Storm

Daryle Lambert’s 31 Club Blog

Every day, there’s more bad news about plummeting stock prices, the spiking foreclosure rate, and about the high price of gas and food causing many financial hardships. However, this financial climate has created the perfect storm for those of us working in the antiques, collectibles and fine art markets, particularly those of us who are working the 31 Club Plan.

The 31 Club Plan is the plan I wrote about in my book, 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques & Collectibles, published just last year.

Those of us working this plan are looking to profit substantially by locating and purchasing rare and valuable antique treasures to re-sell to collectors and the world’s wealthy. We work this market because we’re looking to build our financial futures, but find the traditional ways, like the stock markets and company 401K’s, just don’t seem to be doing what we need them to do.

We’ve discovered that there’s a limitless amount of money that can be made in the antique and fine art industry, so we’re getting ourselves up to speed. Many of us were already antique lovers, but some members are just now beginning to appreciate these fine items.

We’re learning, having fun, and meeting great people as we build college funds for our kids, and aim to have enough retirement money to live well, and not just get by. Our members each have their own personal financial goals, and they set their path accordingly. Right now, while the markets might be taking a beating, the higher end of the antique and fine art markets are still a blazing fire. This is where we want to be, and this is what we get educated about at the 31 Club.

By working in the high end of the antique and fine art markets, along with the plan I’ve laid out in my book, you will discover that trading in the kinds of tangible goods sought after by the world’s wealthy will be the path that sets you and your family financially free.

But, first ask yourself if you consider yourself trainable and are okay with doing some hard work. You’ll need to be both.

At the 31 Club, we’re educating ourselves to recognize and locate these high quality items. We’re using specific strategies for buying, selling, and growing profits. And we’re doing it all in the Antique, Fine Art, and Collectible Markets. When we follow this disciplined approach, well – quite frankly we’ll find that people will be counting us among the world’s wealthy.

Right now during this perfect storm, I’ve seem more estate sales advertised then I can possibly attend. I’m certain that antique items that have not seen the light of day in decades will likely turn up, as people sell off their valuables for cash.

In my book, I’ve done my best to lift the veil of secrecy that pervades this business, so that anyone can gain access to it. And when it comes to making money, the simple truth is this:

Money is made buying and selling, not sitting in an investment account or a piece of property. A planned approach to buying low, selling high, keeping your money turning and compounding will enable you to accumulate more cash than your banker or your broker will ever get for you. All in the Antiques, Collectible and Fine Art Markets.

Most 31 Club Members a begin with a $100 purchase in the antique, collectibles and fine art markets, and continue to grow their money from this initial investment. That’s the 31 Club Plan. I’ve laid it out in my book, and I Blog everyday to help educate you. Members e-mail me and call me for guidance. Some of our members are making more progress than they ever thought possible. If you’re new to this blog, stick around and take a look at our archives. We think this is the place you’ll want to hang your hat. And if you’re already a member, let this serve as a reminder to continue on the path.

Carnival Glass Insider Secrets

Daryle Lambert’s 31 Club Blog

The Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass is a valuable tool to add to your 31 Club Took Kit.

31 Club Member, Cecil, told me about another great piece of Carnival Glass he found. This time, it is an 11 inch, two flowers electric iridescent bowl. It seems like the better pieces are beginning to surface now. I even received a call early yesterday morning from a member, informing me of several Carnival pieces she was previewing at a local auction. There was a 10” Cherry Ice Cream Bowl and a Sugar Bowl at this particular auction.

Should you come face to face with Carnival Glass on your treasure hunting excursions, here’s a few tips:

1) Damage is deadly. Stay away from pieces, even if they have only a very small flake or chip.

2) Color is everything. Look for the pastels in ice blue, ice green, white, aqua, red, and check the Carnival book for others.

3) Plates usually less than 2” bring great money. These might appear to be “swallow bowls”, and can be 6” to 11” across.

4) Funeral Vases are a collector’s delight. They can be 15-18” high and have a head than can be 8-10” across. 5) Patterns can make the average piece of Carnival Glass command prices in the thousands.

5) Animals on a piece almost always assure it will bring a fair price. If there is advertising on it, the price can double or triple.

6) There are auctions that deal in nothing but Carnival Glass, and if you should purchase a special item, they are more than willing to provide the sales service for you.

I’ve been interested in Carnival Glass for many years. I once purchased a pastel colored plate and sold it to a gentleman from Texas. He was so excited about this find that he drove all the way from his home to personally pick it up, and I was very pleased to accept his $5,000 check.

Carnival is one of the items that has treated me well over the years. With a little study, you can become somewhat of an expert on it and cash in on your knowledge. I recommend some time spent with The Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, by Bill Edwards. Abesbooks has older copies of this book beginning at $1.61 for a 1998 copy and moving up in price from there. Amazon also has many used copies of this book. The April 2008 edition of this book is available in paperback for about $9. We really appreciate those who purchase through the blog. Every little bit helps keep us up, running and able to bring you this information everyday. There’s also an annual book of the top Carnival sales, and if you e-mail Cindy, listing “Carnival” in the subject, she will give you that information. cindy@31corp.com

I’ve been receiving calls from members for assistance while they are at auction previews or estate sales, and nothing pleases me more than to be able to help you in making decisions on pieces you see out there. This is what will help you achieve your goals and help 31 Club grow. Where else can you get questions answered and send you on your ascent up the 31 Steps and win your race to the million dollars? There’s been a missing link in this business for far too long, and 31 Club is that missing link.

Thanks so much to all the responses to our request for listing items in the 31 Marketplace. These listings will start to appear when Jeremy finishes with our website reconstruction. When others discover 31 Club has many of the rare and unusual items listed at fair prices, below retail, our traffic will increase tremendously, and your items will get huge exposure. Why below retail? Remember, we want to quickly turn the items so we can keep our money moving at all times. That means we don’t have to get retail for every item.

Remember Beanie Babies? They Might be Back

Daryle Lambert’s 31 Club Blog

This Beanie Baby bear recently sold for $500 on eBay.
I thought the Beanie Baby craze was over, but I was wrong. I recently looked at eBay and found beanie babies bring in some big bucks. Some are over a thousand dollars. The Royal Blue Peanut the Elephant, 1995, sold for $1,000. You can check these for yourself in the Completed Listings.I guess I could plead temporary insanity, because last year I bought three large boxes of Beanie Babies from a house sale and then gave them away to some under privileged children at a Christmas party I went to. I thought they would make great gifts. Because I got about 250 of them for $25, I was able to give more gifts. No, I guess I didn’t lose my mind. The excitement and and smiles on their faces as they plowed through those boxes was a joy to see. I know I did the right thing. I only wished I had had another 1,000 Beanie Babies to give away that day.

Another time, I was called into a house where again there were several hundred Beanies. The woman gave them to me for a trip my friend Colin and I were taking up to visit the Lakota Souix tribe in South Dakota. We packed them all up and off we went. Colin loves the reservation, and members of the Lakota Sioux tribe have taken him in as a member. I think he has made over thirty trips there in the last 5 or 6 years. The Native American children were thrilled so see these cute little animals and gathered them up by the handful.

But back to my point about these collectibles. It seems that to the collector, these fuzzy little creatures still have value. But to the public at large, they are a thing of the past. This, then, is the perfect storm for us. Buying large quantities of the Beanies in one location can help you reap a great harvest. You may or may not find one of the $1,000 Beanies, but still, many others are selling for $70 or $80 dollars on eBay today.

What if you bought 100 of these little creatures for $2.00 apiece and sold them at an average of $8.00, what would that have done for you? Lets see 100 times $8.00 equals $800 minus the cost of $200 for a net profit of $600. Three times your money. Yes, that definitely meets the goal of doubling our money and it takes us one step closer the the finish line in our Million Dollar Race. Who would have thought it was possible with these little bears?

The shipping on these creatures would probably be less than $5. However, if you wanted to get paid a little for your labor, a $2 add on might be justified. This would push your profit up to $800, or four times your investment. Instead of putting this money in the bank for them to profit from, just go and spend the money one more time. At a four times return, you will have $12,800 in your bank account. That might even start paying for a college education for one of your kids.

You have heard me say that we want to move up to the rare and unusual as quickly as we can, but you may want to stop along the way and pick up a few of these little creatures. Right now I think it would make great sense. This could prove to be an excellent way to spend your first $100.

Daryle Lambert Blog: Know Which Doulton K Series Figurines are Rare

Daryle Lambert’s 31 Club Blog

Yesterday, I wrote about making a good chunk of change if you ran across Doulton Dogs. Today, it’s Pigs, Rabbits, Kittens & Penguins and K Figurines. Often, there will be a table of figurines at sales. It’s great when you find a table that will have several Doulton animals offered, especially when you know the ones that bring the big money. Many times, those conducting the sales will have the small figurines way over priced because they think anything Doulton must have a high value, or they have them sorely under market value because they think of them as just trinkets.

At an antiques show a few years back, My wife, Vickie, was calling me from across the room. As I approached, I couldn’t see anything to be excited about and I felt put out because I was on the hunt. When I got to her, she had me look inside one of the display cases. And boy, was I excited. An entire set of six Doulton K series penguins were there. The woman behind the counter wanted $50 apiece for them, and not a penny less. Ok, I figured, not cracking a smile. She wants $300. I offered her $210. Then I acted as if I was going to leave, looking away from her. I could see out of the corner of my eye that she leaned in toward me. Then I started to look distracted, as if something over in the next dealer’s booth was catching my eye. She finally said, “I guess I will take that.” I knew for certain she had made a profit, and I was sure I would, too. I quickly wrote the check, thanked her and left.

Vickie was all smiles. She is a better hunter for treasure than me because she is far more patient. I sold these later at a Doulton Show I had set up. They averaged about $250 each, turning this $210 investment into $1,500. Oh, how I love those little penguins!

These little Penguins all had about the same value, but that isn’t true of all the little fellows. In the K series, there are 39 different animals of which six are Penguins. But how about the rest? Dogs make up 18 of the 39, however, all but three of these are very common. Those three are the lying Bull Terrior, the Sealyham lying, and the Airdale lying. The Bull Terrior is the most valuable. I’ve sold this one in the past for $500. The other two can bring about $250. The reason these three bring so much more that the others is because there are fewer of them, and when a person starts collecting the k series they want to own them all. The rest of the series are common, bringing from $50 to $75.

We have discussed the K Dogs and Penguins but there are some other K’s that will bring you some fancy money. Those are the birds. There are 11 of these feathered friends and here is where you have to know something. In the book, these are priced rather reasonably, but to buy them, collector are willing to pay several times what the book says. It is not uncommon to see them go for $250 – $500 each. These are really the hidden treasures of the K series, and I can assure you that if you find one there will be a buyer for it. All the K figures are under 3 inches tall.

Outside the K series are the Pigs, and these are still considered miniatures. They should be in the $300 – $500 range, if you can find them. These little treasure will make you think before passing that table filled with small animal figurines in the future.

Wealth Building with Antiques, Art & Collectibles

We’re busy as bees these days at the 31 Club, the industry’s only Antiques, Collectible and Fine Art Wealth Building Club and Learning Site. You will begin to see the new face of our website starting to take shape very soon. Our Daily Blog, which has become the signature of our company, will now be available right on our homepage. So, come grow with us.

Over the coming days, every page of our site will be undergoing a face lift. We hope the new feel will be fresh, and easy to navigate. Our webmaster, Chris, is doing a great job, and he never seems to get ruffled no matter what we throw at him.

One of the things that is under discussion is a way it would be possible for members be able to communicate with one another, as well as buy and sell items to other members. Strictly an opt in feature, this will help members to network with one another, and in doing so, increase their contact base. If you have any suggestions or special knowledge on this, give us a call. We’re all ears.

The next major project that Cindy has conjured up is to have more video on the sight. We might have to get a better looking stand in for that one! But seriously, if there is something special you want to see on video, please e-mail me your ideas.

We hope to soon announce the date of our free seminar here in the Chicago area. Cindy keeps assuring me that we will have enough energy for all this, but please keep us in your prayers.

With the help of Michael Hudson of Antiques-Collectibles-Auction-News.com, we are beginning a massive program to expose ourselves to many more people on the Internet. Michael’s news site has set the Internet newswires on their heels, getting thousands of new hits each week after having just started in August. Be sure to take a look at his site. You will find that Cindy and I are contributing writers on it.

Great new stories to keep you abreast of the industry and its events are also available from Philip at News-antique.com. Philip sent out the first press release we ever wrote to media outlets all over. And we continue to release stories on his site. What a great help he is. Phil also runs BigNews.biz, a business news site with free press release distribution services. See if your business might benefit from this source.

Both Phil and Michael have been willing to offer their time and their help to us, and we consider them a member of our team. They are a living examples of what it means to help those in need. And believe me, when we started out, we were really in need of help. Still are. Thanks guys! That’s what the 31 Club is all about. Helping one another.

Everyday I am getting more excited about what we are building together. Call your friends, tell your neighbors, and come on in. We’re going to have fun together while we learn to build our wealth with antiques, collectibles and fine art, step-by-step.

Discover how the 31 Club, together with our book, can be the tool that helps you build more personal wealth dealing in the rare and valuable upper end markets, rather than the conventional methods of stock, bonds, and real estate investing. Art Investment Returns 11 Times its Purchase Price – Harvey Joiner Painting

The auction in Evansville ended yesterday, and I was able to get some figures on how the 31 Gang’s pieces did. The Harvey Joiner portrait we bought for an incredibly low price made us 11 times our investment, however, even at that, it didn’t sell at what I thought it could. Whoever purchased it got themselves an excellent buy from a terrific artist. Now, with the auction behind us, as well as 2007, I’d like to offer a little background to our new members and Blog readers, as well as update the 31 staff’s investment goals for 2008.In June, 2007, our company released my book about building substantial wealth using the antiques, collectibles and art markets as investment vehicles. In 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques & Collectibles, we propose an investment strategy based upon proven financial principles. At that time, the staff and I decided to walk the talk. Using the principles I speak of in the book, we set up a bank account with $100. From there, we aimed to demonstrate to our readers, that this $100 could be grown into an account worth millions, over time, simply buying and selling antiques, collectibles and fine art. In mid-October, about 120 days later, we released a news story announcing a gain on our $100 of 5,000%. At that time, I stated our next goal would be to begin the new year with a 20,000% gain, or $20,000, all from that initial $100

Well, here we are, and while we did not meet the challenge of building $20,000 in six month’s time, we do show a gain of 7,500% — or $7,500 including a couple small items awaiting sale. So is the glass half full, or half empty?

Being the optimist I am, I see it as half full. When I first showed my plan to people, they said it was too good to be true. ”People don’t listen to get rich quick schemes,” is what I heard. But this isn’t a get rich scheme. And, I will let you be the judge after you study our figures.

Some might say that we didn’t achieve the goals we set for ourselves, however I say we exceeded it in a tremendous fashion. You see, if we had completed only the minimum required in our book, “31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques and Collectibles” and fulfilled the suggested goals for six months, we would have been satisfied with $200 in six month’s time. Instead, we have $7,500. All from a single crisp one hundred dollar bill. I wonder how much I’d have earned in interest had I left this hundred dollars in my banker’s care — or even my broker’s care for that matter.

In the book, I suggest readers invest, at the very minimum, $100, and go through a buy/sell cycle every six months to build wealth. This is enough for you to grow substantial wealth if you stay on schedule while not altering how you live your life right now. Two cycles made each year, done according to the criteria stated in the book should result in a gain of 400% at the end of year one. Now, an account worth $400 might not seem like a stellar account to have, but when you keep up the pace, let’s say for five years, you’d have built an account worth at least $100,000. Just imagine what the figures look like when you continue building each successive year. How about, after 7 years of working this way, having an account worth over $1, 500,000? Why stop now when you might have over three million dollars, if you did it for just one more year?

We at the 31 Club did more buy/sell cycles than the minimum amount suggested in the book. We chose to put our efforts on turbo charge, and in doing so, after six months ended up with $7,500 rather than the $200 we’d have doing the minimum. If we could make 5 more buy/sell cycles in 2008, we could very possibly end up with an account worth $240,000 at the end of 2008. And naturally, we’ll continue to keep you posted on our progress.

Not resting on our laurels, we have already committed to the purchase of several paintings that we have estimated could very well triple our account in the next 90 days. Remember, the purpose of what we want to achieve can only happen if we continue to spend the money in our account. Any money that is sitting idle in the account for any period of time is really a dead weight on the progress that we wish to obtain. This doesn’t mean that we should use our money unwisely, but it does mean that you we should be on a constant hunt for items which meet our criteria. We’re also beginning to purchase more rare and valuable items. We don’t want to be spending our time trying to unload a bunch of common items that will create busy work for us. Listing small inexpensive items is not productive or profitable. Rare and more valuable items sell quickly and won’t tie up funds we’ll need to make our next purchases.

It’s my hope that others are going to soon wake up and realize that this is a new way of thinking and the 21st century way of working this market. Having “the millionaire mindset,” as Cindy would say. This story can be about you. But, like driving a car, until you turn the key and step on the accelerator, you won’t go anywhere. Joining 31 Club will be the key that turns on your car. If you already have the key, what’s keeping you from hitting the accelerator?

I am so sure that you can change your life with the program outlined in my book if you apply the principles. I will pledge myself to mentor your steps until you have completed your journey to success.

You might soon be hearing about the successes in the 31 Club, but by then, I hope you will have completed several steps of your own plan. The stage is set. Rev up your engines and hit the throttle.

This is personal wealth building for the 21st century at its finest.

Daryle Lambert: Surprise News from Antiques, Collectibles & Fine Art Auction

Yesterday, I didn’t expect anything special but it didn’t turn out that way. You see, the big day I’ve been waiting for for is today, when the 31 Gang, which includes Cindy, Chris, Clarke and me, have a couple of pieces selling at the Sohn and Associates auction in Evansville, Indiana — the Harvey Joiner portrait and a water color painting. So what’s the big surprise all about?

Since I had to drive all the way to Evansville, Indiana to deliver these pieces for auction, I decided it would be wise to rummage through the house and take some of my personal items along. I gathered up twelve items I could easily part with, and in doing so, make room for more valuable items. Yesterday, our member, Cecil R, was in the audience at Sohn’s yesterday and surprised me with a phone call to tell me that two of my items sold at some really sweet prices. (I had no idea that these were selling yesterday.)
The Indian basket I bought for $100 in Chicago sold for $660, and the black on black Indian pot sold for $2,200. What great news this was! I am so glad no one offered me $200 in Chicago for that Indian basket, because today, they would be the one enjoying the glow I feel. I eagerly await sale results from today. Being in this business is truly like being on a treasure hunt. So often the results of your transactions will startle you.
Of the other items I’ll be waiting on for prices, one is a small painting by W.H. Hilliard. In the latest issue of Maine Antique Digest, two of his paintings sold for over $4,100 each. I only have a grand total of $100 invested in this piece. I also have a T.E. Francis consigned that I’m thinking should also bring in over $2,500. I have very little invested in this piece as well. I can hardly wait until the end of the day when I hear the sales news.
As I tell you time and time again, there are treasures just waiting to be found with your name on them! Are you out there looking yet? If not, why not?
On the items I brought to Sohn’s, I hope to receive over $12,000 on an investment of less than $2,500. The way I figure, I will have made $9,500. How many times a year do you have to make a trade like this to change your life??? I’ll let you be the judge of that. I will tell you this, however: If I had put that $2,500 in the bank, my interest over the last six months would have been $50. By investing that money in artwork and antiques, I’ll make a little over 375% on my money.
Are you beginning to really grasp this? There’s a choice here on where we invest our money. If we’re willing to alter our life just a bit, by learning more and more about antiques, art and collectibles, and locate some of these items, we can make so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly willing to spend my time in study, rather than on numerous leisure activities, so I can recognize value when I see it and prosper from that knowledge. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by being a member of the 31 Club. If you’re not one of us, what are you waiting for?
